Construction has made tremendous progress, and with each passing week, this vision becomes more of a reality. What was once an empty construction site is quickly becoming a welcoming space where opportunity, independence, and community will come together.
The Jerusalem Blind Café is being built with a purpose that extends far beyond serving coffee.
It will provide students and young adults at Beit Chinuch Ivrim, the Jerusalem Institute for the Blind, with opportunities to gain real-world vocational experience, develop valuable workplace skills, and build the confidence that comes from meaningful employment. At the same time, it will create a place where members of the wider Jerusalem community can gather, connect, and experience the abilities and talents of people who are blind or visually impaired firsthand.
